1. President Barack Obama laid a wreath to the tomb of (unknown) to honor members of the military who died serving the country. In his remarks, Obama called for Americans to honor the fallen by caring for those they leave behind - their families and their peers who come home.
2. An Iraqi (commander) told the Associated Press on Monday the counter-terrorism forces and police from Anbar province have started pushing into the Islamic State group held city of Fallujah. Fallujah is one of the last major IS strongholds in Iraq.
3. The director of the Cincinnati zoo says staff is (receiving) messages of support and condolences around the world that a gorilla there was fatally shot to protect a 4-year old boy who fell into its closure. New visitors were (leaving) flowers at the gorilla's exhibit and asked how they can support gorilla's conservation.
4. Wild life officials in Sri Lanka rescued an elephant calf after it fell into an uncovered drain. Rescue workers have to break open the drain to pull the animal out.
