Before learning:

I still remember in our first day of class, I think he is a shy person. And he actually speaks very often. Maybe he is always hesitant with the words that he will say. But on that day, I have the feeling that this student can easily learn and improve because he really has a potential to be a good English speaker. So I am thinking in how to boost this student’s confidence, because I think, that is just the best way so that he can express himself well. I know that he is very eager to learn, so I also did my best to help him.At first, his pronunciation is not that good, and I understand that because this is really the main problem of most of my students. And he also speaks so fast, that sometimes I cannot understand what he is saying. And about his vocabulary, there are lots of words that he cannot understand and doesn’t know the meaning. As well as his grammar, sometimes he can make some sentences or statements that are grammatically incompetent. His listening is a bit okay that time, but of course I have to speak so slow for him to understand it easily.

After learning:

But these problems about his English come to an end, I think. He really improved a lot. In terms of his speaking, pronunciation and his vocabulary is widen now. He is really a good speaker now; he can express what he feels, his opinions, his likes and dislikes. Well, I know from the start that he will be one of my best students because of his eagerness to learn.
